Mary Oliver – Elder

Member of St. Andrews since the Navy brought us to Charleston in 1965, my husband, Allan, and I raised our sons in the church.  I graduated from Berkeley School of Secretarial Training and am currently retired.  I am active in Presbyterian Women, Hobby Group, Sunday School, Young At Heart, and serve on the Weekday Kindergarten Board.  I volunteer weekly at H.E.L.P. of Charleston, Teacher’s Supply Closet, and Charles Towne Landing.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned is:  to be thankful
Four things I cannot live without are:  Can’t think of anything I can’t live without.
Quote that represents me:  From whom much has been given, much will be required
Life-changing book I’d recommend:  The Bible
If I could, I would:  travel the world.
The thing I enjoy most about St. Andrew’s is: the fellowship with other members.
